Juan Muñoz Alfaro
I graduated in Geology at the University of Granada in 2020, I finished the Master in Applied Geology of Mineral and Energy Resources (GEOREC) at the same University in 2021. After a CSIC JAE-Intro scholarship at the Andalusian Institute of Earth Sciences, I joined in 2022 as Early Stage Researcher in the Petrology, Geochemistry, and Geochronology (PGG) research group with a Junta de Andalucía Earaly Researacher Fellowship. I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Earth Sciences Doctoral Program of the University of Granada, working on “The geochemical consequences of subduction of a heterogeneous oceanic lithosphere” under the supervision of Dr. Stephan König and Carlos J. Garrido. To investigate the elemental mobility conditions during devolatilization reactions in subduction zones, I am using stable isotopes of Se, Ti, Zr, and Hf.
